Every piece is made from a stone composite. It starts with natural stone and sand, blended with our own mix of binding agents and hardeners. Most sculptures are built around a steel wire armature with mesh, which adds strength and helps the work hold up over time.

The finishes are weatherproof. They're built from layered metal compound coatings that cure and then activate a natural oxidization process. That's what gives each piece its lasting, weather-ready surface and the kind of finish you'd expect to see in a museum.

For most cleaning, all you need is a soft, clean cloth. A gentle wipe will take care of everyday dust and light dirt. If a piece needs a little more, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry it with a clean, soft towel. Please avoid anything solvent-based, as well as harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners, since these can damage the stone and its finish over time.

If dirt or buildup collects in the deeper carvings and finer details, a soft brush and plain water work well. Gently work the brush into the affected areas, then wipe or dry with a clean cloth. Repeat as needed until the surface looks right.

Wax can be used on all of our sculptures and is a great way to protect and preserve the finish. A light coat helps seal the surface from the elements and keeps the stone looking its best. Apply it evenly, let it settle in, and then buff gently with a soft cloth.
